Hertford gets a taste of Bermuda

The British town of Hertford received a taste of Bermuda this week, courtesy of a travel agency.

The Hertford branch of Thomas Cook Travel recently launched “Bermuda Day” in an effort to promote the Island as a holiday destination.

According to the Hertfordshire Mercury, Hertford Mayor Jane Sartin and Royal Tunbridge Wells town crier John Scholey both took part in festivities, which included rum cake and Dark ‘n Stormies.

The town lies around 19 miles outside of Central London and has a population of around 28,000.
