Nomination time for Island’s tourism-friendly residents

It’s that time of year again when Bermuda vacationers are encouraged to nominate residents who have “gone above and beyond” to make a Bermuda vacation memorable.

The Visitor Industry Partnership (VIP), in association with the Bermuda Tourism Board has launched the first call for nominees of the first nominees of the VIP Sunshine Award programme.

Visitors are encouraged to nominate a resident using a nomination form that can be found in ‘This Week in Bermuda’ or online at www.vip.bm

The VIP will choose a winner each quarter, the first set will be announced in the next few weeks and they will receive a Sunshine Award Pin and a congratulatory lunch with the Minister of Tourism.

The overall winner will be announced at the end of March 2014. That person will be recognised and congratulated at the VIP Excellence Awards. And the visitor who made the nomination will be invited back to Bermuda with a complimentary hotel stay.

VIP chairwoman Dr Barbara O’Shaughnessy extended congratulations to all the nominees for making a Visitor’s Bermuda holiday a special memory and for spreading some Bermuda Sunshine.
