Forum on tourism challenges

Tourism minister Zane DeSilva.

The Ministry of Tourism and Transport, and the Bermuda Tourism Authority will be hosting an industry outlook on Wednesday covering challenges and opportunities in the year ahead.

The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce and the Bermuda Hotel Association will be among the tourism stakeholder groups at the free public event.

Also up for discussion will be airlift forecast, cruise schedules, the National Tourism Plan, upcoming industry events and stakeholder collaboration.

Zane DeSilva, Minister of Tourism and Transport and Kevin Dallas, chief executive of Bermuda Tourism Authority, will be the main presenters.

Their addresses will be followed by a panel discussion inviting the audience to engage and ask questions.

Other panellists include: Kendaree Burgess, chief executive of the Chamber of Commerce; Nathan Kowalski, Chief Financial Officer of Anchor Investments; and Tim Morrison, president of the Bermuda Hotel Association.

The 2019 Bermuda Tourism Outlook will take place on February 20, from 3pm to 4:30pm at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.
