Reports saying new CEO appointed are wrong, says BTA
Updated: Aug 12, 2022 07:53 AM
The Bermuda Tourism Authority’s interim chief executive officer has not had her position made permanent, a spokeswoman said yesterday.
The BTA said that, despite articles published by several news outlets, Tracy Berkeley has not been made the chief executive officer.
A BTA spokeswoman confirmed this morning: “Contrary to the headline in a recent international travel trade publication, Tracy Berkeley continues to serve as interim CEO for the Bermuda Tourism Authority.”
Ms Berkeley was made interim leader in June after Charles Jeffers III left the company after 16 months of service.
She has worked with the BTA since 2020, when she was hired as the group’s director of people.
