BermudAir adds to winter offerings
An island based airline will increase its services to the US East Coast this winter with the expansion of routes to the New York metropolitan area.
BermudAir will fly from Bermuda to Newark Liberty International and LaGuardia airports, beginning the week of October 26.
The company said: “Flights between Bermuda and Newark will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, with departures from Bermuda at 8am, arriving at 9.30am, and return flights departing at 11am, arriving back in Bermuda at 2.15pm.
“Service to LaGuardia will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with similar convenient timings.”
From December 18, travellers departing from Newark will also have the chance to travel to Anguilla’s Clayton J Lloyd International Airport on the airline’s AnguillAir service.
Those flights will run on Thursdays and Sundays, complementing the company’s Anguilla connections from Boston and Baltimore, announced earlier.
Adam Scott, the airline’s founder and chief executive, said: “Expanding our New York-area service is a significant step forward for BermudAir, providing both leisure and corporate travellers with more flexibility and convenient access to Bermuda.
“The Newark-Anguilla flights create an exciting opportunity for us to serve a vibrant and diverse travel market that values high-quality island experiences.
“It allows us to respond to strong demand for easy, reliable access to Caribbean destinations.”
