Brilliant Lady celebrates first call to Bermuda
The Brilliant Lady was welcomed by government officials as it made its maiden voyage to the island this week.
Jaché Adams, the Acting Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport, greeted the Virgin Voyages vessel at Heritage Wharf.
Mr Adams said he was honoured to welcome the ship and crew, stating: “Her presence highlights Bermuda’s position as a leading cruise destination, and we look forward to building on this partnership.
“The Government of Bermuda remains committed to welcoming cruise visitors and strengthening relationships with industry partners to further enhance the island’s position as a premier cruise destination.”
The Brilliant Lady arrived from New York on Sunday with 2,501 passengers. The €700 million ($820 million) ship was built in Italy and delivered in 2023.
While the ship has now left the island, she is scheduled to return on Friday.
