Bermudians looking to find a place in the hospitality sector have been invited to a careers fair set for next week.

The Hospitality Industry Careers Fair, organised by the Bermuda Hotel Association in collaboration with the Department of Workforce Development, the Chamber of Commerce and the Bermuda College, will highlight opportunities across the sector for the coming season and beyond.

Stephen Todd, chief executive of the BHA, said the careers fair was aimed at “Bermudians who are unemployed or underemployed” to explore “the many positions that our hotel and restaurant partners have available”.

Mr Todd said prior experience or a willingness to be trained would come as an advantage “as employers seek to fill the key positions ahead of the fast-approaching tourism season that we anticipate will be a busy one”.

He added: “This is an excellent opportunity to engage with industry professionals who can provide interested persons with information on the vacancies and how our fellow Bermudians can embark on a rewarding employment and career opportunity.”

The fair will be held in the Princess Room of the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club from 10am to 2pm on March 18.
