BermudAir has announced that it has ordered an additional ten aircraft to bolster its expanding list of routes.

Reuters reported that the Bermuda-based airline announced at the Farnborough International Airshow that it had ordered the A220-300 aircraft through affiliated company Odyssey in March.

The airline also said that it plans to add up to 20 of the aircraft by 2030.

The Airbus A220-300 is promoted as seating up to 160 passengers and with the ability to fly more than 6,000km.

BermudAir, which operates flights to a range of destinations in the US, Canada and Anguilla, is scheduled to expand into Grand Cayman, the Turks & Caicos, Belize and Guatemala in December.

Adam Scott, the founder and chief executive of the carrier, said at the time of the announcement of new routes that BermudAir was “thrilled” at the growth in the Caribbean.
