BermudAir is expected to launch a host of new flights this year as the airline expands farther into the Caribbean and Central America.

While the carrier announced that it would launch services linking Bermuda, Grand Cayman and the Turks & Caicos, the airline’s website showed additional flights offering passengers access to Belize and Guatemala.

According to the BermudAir website, the airline is expected to start its non-stop service between the island and Providenciales International Airport in the Turks & Caicos on December 18 with two flights a week.

On the same date, the airline will launch its twice-weekly service between Bermuda and Grand Cayman, with the flight making a single stop in the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Those are not the only new routes included in the schedule as, on December 19, the airline will launch a service connecting Boston and Belize, and a second new service between Belize and Guatemala City.

The website allows customers to purchase “direct” flights from Bermuda to both new destinations, with passengers departing Bermuda at 8.40am for Boston, travelling onward to Belize for a 3.25pm arrival and then Guatemala for a 5.25pm arrival.

The return flight departs Guatemala City at 9.55pm and Belize at 11.50pm, arriving in Boston at 5.30am the next day and Bermuda at 10.45am.

The website also promises new flights linking Belize to Anguilla, Fort Lauderdale, Raleigh/Durham, Orlando Sanford and St Petersburg/Tampa, along with direct services linking the Turks & Caicos to Baltimore, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Grand Cayman, Newark, Raleigh/Durham, Toronto and St Petersburg/Tampa.

A non-stop service to Bermuda from Fort Lauderdale will be reintroduced, with tickets from $212.

Adam Scott, the founder and chief executive of the carrier, said BermudAir was “thrilled” at the growth in the Caribbean.

He added: “Our customers are ranking us with industry-leading satisfaction scores.”

Last month, the carrier earned a net promoter score of 78.92 — said to be among the top customer satisfaction ratings in the airline industry.
