Lewis in eighth place finish in 400 metres

Bermuda’s Jessica Lewis finished eighth in the T53 400 metre final at the 2012 Paralympics at the Olympic Stadium in London on Saturday.Competing in her final event at the Games, Lewis posted a time of one minute and 8.88 seconds. The race was won by China’s Zhou Hongzhuan in 55.47 seconds.Lewis, the Island’s first athlete in wheelchair racing in the Paralympics, also finished eighth in the T53 200 and 100 metres.Lewis’ mother Lorrie said: “This has been an amazing experience. We are all tired but exhilarated and we have our sights on Rio, 2016.”
