Caitlyn Bobb has secured her spot at the NCAA Championships later this month.

After finishing second in her 400 metres heat on Friday, Bobb needed to finish in the top three in the quarter-finals on Saturday afternoon to book her place at the biggest college track and field event in the United States in Eugene, Oregon, from June 11 to 14.

She finished second in her quarter-final to Aaliyah Butler, recording a time of 51.61sec, which was enough to give Bobb the seventh-fastest time of the 12 qualifiers progressing to the next round.

The trip to Eugene for the NCAA Championships will be the second of the Bermudian’s college career and her first since 2022, justifying her decision to switch from the University of Maryland to Virginia Tech last summer.
