Almost 300 road accidents logged for first quarter of year

Almost 300 people needed hospital treatment after road accidents, according to figures released for the first quarter of this year.

King Edward VII Memorial Hospital recorded 96 cases in both January and February. Another 106 victims were taken to the hospital after collisions in March.

Three were admitted to the intensive care unit and another six needed extended in-patient treatment. One patient required treatment overseas.
