Police appeal for witnesses to Southampton crash involving four bikes

Police are appealing for witnesses to a a crash involving at least four motorcycles near the Fairmont Southampton on Friday night.

Police and first responders attended the scene just after 9pm on Horseshoe Road near the entrance to the hotel.

A 25-year-old Warwick man was treated for his injuries at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and was listed in stable condition.

A police spokeswoman said at least four motorcycles were travelling west when one rider caused another to lose control of their bike and crash.

She said the other bikes left the scene.

Forensic officers processed the scene causing minor traffic delays.

Police are calling for any witnesses to the incident to call Pc Bailey on 211.
