Man seriously injured in McGall’s Hill collision

A 40-year-old man was seriously injured at about 6.30pm yesterday after a collision in Smith’s.

A spokeswoman said the two-vehicle crash involved a car and a motorcycle.

Police diverted traffic away from McGalls Hill, where a car was left blocking both lanes of South Road to the east of the junction with Morer Estate Road.

The spokeswoman said the man was being treated in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for “serious injuries”.

Traffic was diverted onto Sayle Road and St Mark Road while the scene was processed.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 211.
