Driver discharged from hospital after crash

A 40-year-old man whose car struck a wall at the weekend has been discharged from hospital after suffering head and neck injuries, police said.

A police spokesman said the man was driving along Middle Road, Devonshire, on Saturday when his car hit a wall near Fort Hill Road at about 9.30am.

Firefighters and EMTs helped him out of his vehicle and took him to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after he complained of pain in his head, neck and chest.

The man, from Devonshire, was discharged later that day.

Traffic diversions were in effect until that afternoon while police processed the scene.

Any witness are still encouraged to call 211.
