The ferry service to the Rockaway stop will halt today to allow repair work, the Department of Marine and Ports has announced.

A spokeswoman said the temporary closure of the stop was needed for repairs to the bow-loading ramp.

“The Rockaway ramp conditions have made it unsafe for pilots to load passengers on-board the ferry,” the spokeswoman said.

“Currently, the Department of Works and Engineering are on site and working on repairs at the ferry stop.

“The department apologises for the inconvenience and asks for patience as these necessary repairs are completed. The department will provide updates on when service will return.”
