Bus detours for Belco trenching work

Trenching

The 10 and 11 bus routes have been diverted from North Shore Road, Devonshire from tomorrow because of Belco trenching.

The Department of Public Transportation said the dig between Loyal Hill and Barker’s Hill would cause bus detours until September 9.

The No 10 bus inbound will detour through Flatts Hill, Middle Road Smith’s, Montpelier Road and Frog Lane, west on to Palmetto Road, Cedar Avenue and Victoria Street to the Hamilton terminal. Outbound buses will reverse this route.

Detours for Route 11 will detour via Flatts Hill, Middle Road Smith’s, Montpelier Road and Frog Lane, east on Palmetto Road, Barker’s Hill Roundabout, west on Northshore Road, Black Watch Pass, Palmetto Road, Cedar Avenue and Victoria Street to the Hamilton terminal – and reverse the route for outbound trips.

A DPT spokesman said journey times would be affected by the detours.
