A car had to be rescued from the foot of an embankment in Paget after an early morning accident sent the vehicle tumbling into dense undergrowth.

According to a member of the public, the crash in the Rural Hill area took place around 5am.

Shortly before 8am on Saturday, a crane was at the scene to haul the car free of the bushes.

The circumstances of the crash were unclear, and as of yesterday it was unknown whether anyone was injured after the car apparently broke through a roadside barrier.

The Royal Gazette lodged a query yesterday with the Bermuda Police Service.
