Man, 61, injured in single-vehicle crash

A 61-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries after a single-vehicle crash in Southampton on Friday.

Police responded to the incident on Middle Road near the junction with Luke’s Pond Road at about 9.40pm.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “A 61-year-old male was riding a motorcycle west on Middle Road when he lost control of the vehicle and ended up on the roadway.

“He was transported by ambulance to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was attended to for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries, abrasions to the face and a broken right shoulder.”

Police are asking anyone with information to call 211or the main police number 295-0011.
