‘Technical hitch’ leaves BA passengers without luggage
Passengers on a British Airways flight from London Heathrow were left without luggage owing to a technical problem.
The airline said that a number of services left with no bags on Thursday afternoon because of the issue, which has now been resolved.
A spokesman for British Airways said: “We're sorry that some of our services left without customers' bags to ensure these flights were able to depart as planned. This was due to a technical issue which has now been resolved.
“Our teams are working hard to get all of these bags onto the next available flights.”
The spokesman said anyone wishing to check the status of their luggage can do so by visiting: www.britishairways.com.
BA did not provide information on how many flights were affected or how many passengers remain without their belongings.
It did say that staff continued to work to reunite customers with their bags as quickly as possible.
