One-lane traffic and road closures announced

Store Hill will be open to one lane of traffic for two days next week because of scheduled roadwork, the Ministry of Public Works has announced.

A spokesman said that there will be trenching by One Communications along the stretch of the hill from Middle Road to North Shore Road in Smith’s.

Part of a lane on North Shore Road will be closed on June 29 and 30 and work will be done from 7am until 7pm on those days.

People can call highways engineer Carolina Orellana on 501-3031 with questions about the lane closure.

The spokesman added that part of Mount Hill will be closed to traffic on July 1 because of a community block party in the area.

The event will result in the road running from the Swansbay Hill-Twin Lane Place junction to the Overview Hill-Bluff Lane junction being closed between noon and 11.59pm on that day.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes during this time.

For more information about this closure, call Wolde Place on 518-7569.
