Sections of North Shore Road near Shelly Bay will be restricted to single-lane traffic on Sundays in April and May, the Ministry of Public Works said yesterday.

The closures, which will take effect from 7 April 2024, are to facilitate the removal of vegetation, the ministry said.

“The work zone extends in a northerly direction from Stone Haven Road at the Southern end to approximately 210 feet North of Commonland Point Road at the northern end,” the ministry said.

The works will be undertaken between 7am and 6pm and will be undertaken in 100-foot sections for approximately 600 feet of the roadway.

During the closure, workers will manage the traffic flow with stop-and-go signs or temporary lights, the ministry said.

For safety reasons, vehicles will not be granted access through the closed lane.

The ministry requested co-operation from the public and apologised for any inconvenience the works may cause.
