A key component for damaged traffic lights at a busy junction on St John’s Road in Pembroke is expected to be shipped to the island next week, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment said.
The lights opposite WER Joell Stadium went out after a vehicle hit the system’s control box last July.
A new control cabinet — the unit that houses the electronic components which operate the traffic signals — is expected to be shipped from the overseas vendor next week.
“Once received, the ministry will move quickly to restore the lights to full operation,” a ministry spokesman added.
