A bicycle race will affect traffic in Smith’s and Hamilton Parish on Sunday, the Ministry of Public Works and the Environment said.

A spokesman said the Bermuda Bicycle Association VT Construction road race will start near Whitney Institute at 8am.

Participants will head to Verdmont Road and St Mark’s Church and along South Road to Paynters Road.

Cyclists will continue to Harrington Sound Road and Middle Road and finish at Whitney Institute.

Roads will remain open during the event, which is scheduled to finish by 11am, but motorists should follow directions from police, who are authorised to close off streets as the commissioner decides.

Questions can be directed to race representative Dominique Mayho on 599-2993.
