Mahogany trees that buckled sidewalks and road surface in the capital are being taken down for a new life as street furniture by Corporation of Hamilton staff.
The row of ten mahogany trees along King Street will be replaced, with the new trees to be ringed with root guards to prevent them from spreading outwards.
The job is a continuation of “sustainability and greening efforts” by the City.
