At least one motorist has suffered serious injuries after a multiple vehicle pile-up in Devonshire last night.

The crash occurred at about 9.25pm on North Shore Road near the Northshore Medical clinic.

A police spokeswoman did not say how many vehicles were involved but described it as “a serious multi-vehicle collision“.

She added: “Several individuals have reported injuries, including one male who is believed to have sustained serious injuries.

“Emergency medical personnel attended the scene and injured parties have been transported to King Edward VII Memorial for treatment.

“At this time, the circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear. A full investigation is under way.”
