Police name driver in fatal Hamilton Parish collision

Police identified 71-year-old man who lost his life after a collision between a car and a bus on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish last month.

Gladwyn Anderson died in the crash which happened shortly before 2pm on May 12, just east of the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo.

Police said Mr Anderson was driving the car, while several passengers on the Department of Public Transportation bus were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and discharged.

Mr Anderson was the third person to die on the island’s roads this year.

The Bermuda Police Service said the results of a recent autopsy verified that Mr Anderson died as a result of the collision.

Pc Gregory White of the Roads Policing Unit is investigating the incident.
