Minor injured in two-vehicle collision in Southampton
A nine-year-old boy was injured this evening in a two-vehicle collision in Southampton.
Police said the incident happened at about 7.40pm on Middle Road near its junction with Tribe Road No 3.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said that one car, travelling in an easterly direction, attempted to make a right-hand turn into a private driveway when another car, also travelling east, was involved in a collision from behind.
The boy, who was the only one injured in the collision, was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. At the time of reporting, the extent of his injuries are unknown.
The area has been cordoned off while the scene is processed.
Traffic is now being diverted at Church Road and Lighthouse Road.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes where possible.
