Outbound lanes on East Broadway are closed temporarily because of an obstruction blocking the roadway.

According to police, motorists travelling out of the City are being diverted over Lane Hill.

A police spokeswoman said: “Drivers coming into the City are urged to proceed with caution when passing through the area.

“Buses headed out of the City will be allowed to pass through in the outbound lane.

“We appreciate the public’s understanding as crews work to resolve the issue.”

Details of the blockage were not provided. However, the route suffered from flooding after heavy rains earlier this evening.
