Police name fifth road fatality of 2025

Police have named the teenager who died in a Devonshire collision last week.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said that 16-year-old Josh Frias was involved in a collision with a car on Parsons Lane, near Watlington Waterworks, at about 6.30pm on Thursday.

Emergency medical technicians performed lifesaving efforts on the teenager, who was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Mr Frias is the fifth person and third teenager to die on Bermuda’s roads in 2025.

Police sent condolences to his loved ones and urged anyone with information on the incident to contact Kevin Madeiros, the investigating officer, on 717-2402 or kmadeiros@bps.bm.
