Buses have been caused to temporarily steer away from The Glebe Road Bridge as a result of continuing works.

A spokesman for the Department of Public Transportation said that the Route 5 buses are not able to cross over the bridge because of restrictions linked to the repairs.

“As a result, a temporary detour is in effect,” he said.

“Route 5 buses will follow their normal path to Parsons Road, then divert left onto Frog Lane, left onto Palmetto Road, left onto Cedar Avenue and right onto Victoria Street, ending at the central terminal.

“This detour remains in place until August 1 or until lifted by the Ministry of Public Works.

“The DPT appreciates the public’s understanding and co-operation during this time and apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
