BIU meeting to delay services on Friday

A meeting of Bermuda Industrial Union members will affect some government services tomorrow.

No ferry services will be available during the period, a spokeswoman said, and residents were urged to arrange alternative transport between 2pm and 4pm.

The session might also affect trash collection, postal delivery, parks and other services, but all services will resume as normal after the meeting.

Service delays

The Bermuda Industrial Union membership meeting will interrupt the following ferry routes tomorrow, Friday, September 5:

Blue route

Dockyard: 2.15pm, 4pm, 5pm; Hamilton: 1.30pm, 3.15pm

Pink route

Hamilton: 3.45pm; Salt Kettle: 3.50pm; Darrell’s Wharf: 3.55pm; Belmont: 4pm

Green route

Hamilton: 4.10pm; Rockaway: 4.30pm; Cavello Bay: 4.40pm; Watford Bridge: 4.50pm

Orange route (Dockyard, St George’s) will be unaffected

UPDATE: upon corrected information from the Government, this article has been updated to clarify that bus services will not be affected by the disruption
