Real-time passenger information for Bermuda’s public transport network now includes school buses.

Under Phase 2 of the digital fare media project, the Shorelink app will enable pupils and parents to track the buses beginning on Tuesday.

The app is available for download on iOS and Android devices.

Owen Darrell, the Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport, hailed the move as “a game-changer for families across Bermuda”.

He added: “Parents can now follow their child’s school bus journey with confidence, knowing exactly when and where the bus will arrive.

“It’s a meaningful step forward in safety, convenience and care, modernising our transport system in ways that directly benefit our community.”

The real-time tracking for school buses, alongside 11 public bus routes and four ferry routes, comes with live arrival and departure times as well as route visibility and location updates aimed at eliminating uncertainty and long waits at stops.
