Police have asked the public for information after a serious road traffic collision this afternoon on Christ Church Lane in Devonshire.

Officers were dispatched to a private residence at 6.38pm after reports that a young male was involved in a traffic collision moments earlier.

A police spokesman said: “Initial information suggested one bike was involved. However, it was subsequently determined that the collision involved at least two cycles.

“At the time of the incident, several members of the public reportedly came to the assistance of those involved. All parties initially declined medical or police assistance and appeared to be fine at the scene.

“Then, shortly thereafter, one of the males fell unconscious.”

The spokesman added that the exact time of the collision was uncertain and the police were appealing for anyone who may have witnessed a collision in the Christ Church Lane area to call 211.

After the collision, traffic was temporarily diverted on to Watlington Road and Parsons Road but traffic has since return to normal.
