Eighth road fatality of 2025 recorded
A male motorcyclist died this morning after a two-vehicle collision in Paget.
The collision was one of two that occurred in Paget this morning, the Bermuda Police Service said.
At approximately 12.20am, officers responded to the scene of a crash on Middle Road, near its junction with St Paul’s Lane.
The BPS said early information suggests that a motorcycle and a car were travelling in opposite directions when the collision occurred.
The rider was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
The fatality is the eighth on Bermuda’s roads in 2025.
The male driver of the car has been arrested for offences in connection with the collision.
While police were at the scene, at about 2.35am, members of the public stopped to alert police of another collision that occurred at the junction of South Road and Lover’s Lane, also in Paget.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive female lying in the westbound lane,” police said.
The female was transported to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Early information suggests it was a single-vehicle collision involving a rental cycle.
Traffic diversions were in place at both scenes and motorists were advised to use alternative routes, and to expect delays in the area.
Both incidents are under investigation and anyone who may have witnessed either collision, or who has any relevant information, is asked to contact police on 211 at the earliest opportunity.
