Motorcyclist injured in Pembroke collision

A motorcyclist was transported to hospital this afternoon following a two-vehicle collision on St John’s Road in Pembroke, police said.

At around 1.20pm today, officers of the Bermuda Police Service and other first responders were dispatched to the scene of the collision which involved a van and a motorcycle in the area of Cox’s Hill, Pembroke.

A spokesman for the BPS said: “The motorcyclist was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with suspected head injuries, the extent of which were unknown.”

Traffic was being diverted and motorists were advised to use alternative routes until the scene had been cleared.

Witnesses to the collision were asked to call police on 211 at the earliest opportunity.
