One person was injured in the East End this morning after a car overturned.

A police spokesman said that officers and other first responders were called to a single-vehicle crash at about 11.15am.

Police arrived near the junction of St David’s Road and Bay Estates Road, where they found a car resting on its roof.

Initial reports suggested that there had been two people inside.

The passenger, who reportedly sustained an injury, left the scene before police arrived. The extent of their injury was unknown.

The driver of the car complained of pain to his legs.

Police said there were no significant traffic delays and the roadway was cleared after about an hour.
