A driver escaped injuries after losing control of their car in an incident in Paget this morning.

A police spokesman said that at about 9.35am, police were notified of a single vehicle road traffic crash on South Road, just east of the entrance to the Coral Beach and Tennis Club.

The spokesman said: “Details are limited at this time, however, it is understood the motor car was travelling east along the South Road, when it appears the driver lost control of the vehicle and went over an embankment and struck a tree.

“There were no reported injuries. There was extensive damage to the front of the vehicle, which had to be removed with the assistance of a crane, resulting in minor traffic delays.”

An investigation into the collision has been launched and anyone with information is urged to contact police at 295-0011.
