Plumbing problems have resulted in the closure today of the Transport Control Department at North Street, Hamilton, the Government announced.

Signs have been posted at the building to notify residents that the facility had no running water.

They added: “We are working to rectify this. Until further notice TCD will be closed.”

The Government added: “TCD apologises for the inconvenience.

“The department will issue an update on reopening.”
