Parking restriction at Botanical Gardens

The parking area near Berry Hill Road at the Botanical Gardens will be temporarily closed from tomorrow, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment advised.

The ministry said the closure is to facilitate essential enhancements and repairs to the area.

Visitors were urged to use the two Visitors Centre parking lots or the space behind Masterworks and to follow the directional signage being installed to assist with access.

A ministry spokesman said that the improvement works include a modest expansion of the parking area, the installation of a permeable turfstone surface and the addition of improved barriers to prevent parking on grassed areas.

He said the upgrades are intended to improve drainage, protect landscaped spaces and enhance the overall visitor experience.

The ministry thanked the public for their co-operation while the works are completed.
