Sunday race to affect traffic in Warwick and Southampton
A run-and-walk event will affect traffic in Southampton and Warwick on Sunday, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment said.
A spokesman said the Ed Sherlock 8K Run and Walk will start at the junction of South Road and Eastdale Lane near Warwick Camp in Southampton at 8am.
Participants will head east to Camp Road and Spice Hill Road, and right on Camp Hill Road to Middle Road.
They will then turn on to South Road at Barnes Corner and head to the finish at Southampton Rangers.
All roads on the route will remain open during the event, set to finish by 10am, but motorists should follow all instructions from race marshals along the route to assist with traffic control.
The spokesman said: “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment encourages the full co-operation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”
Questions can be directed to race representative Vernal Durham on 747-3737 and police are authorised to close off streets as decided by the commissioner.
