Lane closure allows for wall construction

A section of road in Smith’s will be reduced to one lane of traffic for almost four months, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment announced.

A spokesman said the closure will be in effect along South Road, near the Loren at Pink Beach, to construct a wall in the area.

This work is expected to take place daily from 7am until 6pm from March 23 to July 13.

Traffic in the area will be managed with temporary lights and motorists should be cautious and expect delays.

Questions about the works can be directed to Jason Smith, of Smith Hauling and Excavation, at 737-6969.
