A bicycle race will affect traffic in the East End on Sunday, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment announced.

A spokesman urged motorists to use caution during the Bermuda Bicycle Association Winners Edge road race, set to start along Kindley Field Road at 8am.

Cyclists will head east onto St David’s Road and Pepper Hall Road and continue to the roundabout via Tommy Fox Road.

The race continues along Kindley Field Road to the airport roundabout, the Causeway and up Blue Hole Hill, where participants will make a U-Turn back to the start.

No road closures are expected during the event, expected to finish by 11am, but race marshals will direct traffic along the route.

Police are authorised to close off streets or portions of streets and allow parking as decided by the Commissioner.

Questions can be directed to race representative Greg Hopkins at 296-6012.
