A shortage of materials has stalled a road project in Devonshire, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment advised.
A spokeswoman said this week that workers are reconstructing a retaining wall, building a sidewalk and clearing vegetation west of Garthowen Estate on Middle Road.
She added that a concrete shortage on the island has impacted the reconstruction phase of the project, which will resume weather permitting once materials become available.
The spokeswoman explained: “In the interim, the site remains safe and secure, with temporary traffic management measures in place to protect both motorists and workers.”
