Motorists are advised that there will be rolling single-lane closures on South Road, in the area of Devon Heights Road, Devonshire, from tomorrow until September 17, weather permitting.

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment said the closures will be in effect between 9am and 3:30pm to accommodate road repair works.

A ministry spokesman said: “Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible and use alternative routes via Collectors Hill and Brighton Hill Road.

“Motorists travelling through the area should expect delays and exercise caution.

“The [ministry] encourages the full co-operation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”

Traffic control will be managed by representatives of Joell’s Asphalt Services and Maintenance.
