Part of North Shore Road will be reduced to one lane of traffic this week, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment advised.
A spokeswoman said the emergency closure will be in effect near Mission Lane in Pembroke from tomorrow until Thursday to repair a Belco line in the area.
Work will take place from 9.30am to 6pm and representatives from Intelligent Excavation will manage traffic with signs and traffic lights.
The ministry urged motorists to co-operate during the closure and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
