Winter Pops Concert tonight

Bermuda has an abundance of talented youths and CedarBridge Academy's Arts Department is home to many of them.

Students have been working diligently to prepare for tonight's Winter Pops Concert.

Included will be original works by CedarBridge's newest vocal group New Era; pianist and vocalist John Seymour; the drum line under the direction of Tonya Smith and the Bermuda School of Music Steel Pan Orchestra.

The highlight of the evening will be CedarBridge Academy String Ensemble, directed by music teacher Tiffany Fox.

The students have been very busy performing around the Island at events such as the Universal Day of the Child luncheon, various schools' prizegiving ceremonies and special assemblies. They also participated in a special primary/ middle school tour in the West End.

The String Ensemble is currently fundraising for a trip overseas the group has been invited to perform at Walt Disney World in Florida, on April 4.

Tonight's concert at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts is under the distinguished patronage of Education Minister Dame Jennifer Smith.

Tickets are $25 for general admission. Patrons tickets are $55. Tickets are available at the CedarBridge Academy library or www.bdatix.bm.
