The Harrington Sound Primary School’s swim team is a fantastic group who all work together at Harrington Sound dock to improve their skills.The first time they tried out, the students had no idea what they were doing. But, after a few days they got the hang of it and soon were so good that they started to get faster and faster. Then they started to race against each other. Some would lose and some would win.On Tuesdays and Thursdays the swim club met in their lunch time. They would bring their swimming gear, get changed and go down to the Harrington Sound dock. Sometimes there would be someone fishing of the dock, and the students would be able to touch the fish. When they had some spare time, they were able to take free jumps. That mostly happened at the beginning of the practice.After wards they started to get more serious and started to go to Saltus pool on Saturdays. They would start at 8.30am and swim to 9.30am and would get really tired. They all loved their Harrington Sound Swim time-it was the bomb! And hope to have another swim time again soon.
