Young Nyle Trott walks away with People's Choice award in the Techart 12 art show

Somersfield Academy student Nyle Trott won the Peoples' Choice award in the 2012 Techart 12, the show of digitally-created held at the Bermuda Society of Arts gallery in the City Hall. Young Nyle Trott is one happy young man nowadays.He was the winner of a brand new iPad from iClick on Reid Street in TECHART 12, the digital created art show recently held in the Bermuda Society of Arts Gallery in City Hall.The show, now in its sixth year, was jointly sponsored by AAC Saatchi & Saatchi, iClick and The Complete Office and was held from 19th October — 7th November 2012.There were over 150 entries, 77 of which came from students in that under 12 category.Adds Mr. Hebberd: “ We were very pleased with this and would like to make special mention of the photography and art teachers at Purvis Primary, Somersfield Academy and St David’s Primary for supporting their students and encouraging their evident talent.”Nyle, a student at Somersfield Academy, received his iPad for winning the People’s Choice award for his ‘Perspective Blue’.He credits his photography club teacher Ms Osborne for being his biggest inspiration and can’t wait to download lots of games and movies.Additional winning entries were Earl Jones in Adult Digital Art, Andrew Stevenson in Adult Digital Photography, Danielle Clarke in Student Digital Art, Zariah Tucci in Student Digital Photography and Gabriel Jones in Students Under 12 Digital Photography.In keeping with new trends, a new category was introduced his year for iPad art and this winner was Christopher Marson.First, second and third place winners in all categories received Apple products from iClick on Reid Street.
