Curtain set to rise on pantomime

For the last three months I have had a wonderful opportunity to work with a group of amazing people such as fellow student, Zayla Bolin and an alumni of Warwick Academy, Paul Harney on an entertaining pantomime of The Pied Piper. The rehearsals have been very tiring but fun and fulfilling at the same time. We have been rehearsing for three hours every night over the last two weeks, which has been challenging because I had to manage schoolwork as well.

We had the chance to work with and learn from a very supportive production team such as the director, Kelvin Hasting-Smith and the choreographer, Sophia Cannonier, in a safe environment where you are able to express your feelings and have fun.

I would encourage anyone young or old to audition for the pantomime in the coming years especially if you are interested in performing arts (like me) or just want to have a great time.

I hope to see all of you in the audience laughing and singing along or even better next year on the stage.

The performances will take place at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts at CedarBridge Academy from Thursday, January 22 to Sunday, January 25, with two performances (a matinee and an evening performance) scheduled for Saturday January 24 and Sunday January 25. Tickets are $35 and can be booked at www.bmds.bm
